What skateboard is suitable for me?

What would be a better skateboard?

  • im new at skateboarding, so far i've just been borrowing my friends skateboard to do tricks. I wanna buy one for my self and i cant make up my mind which kind of skateboard i should buy. so which one would you recommend? i saw this really cheap skateboard at a sporting goods store, its parts are not from famous brands, but its board is Canadian maple? and the other one is a flip board with core 5.0 trucks, urethane wheels 52mm, amphetamine abec 5 bearings and black diamond grip tape... what do you think about each one individually? and do you think they would be sturdy enough? please help me figure out the pros and cons of each boards... or if you have better suggestions, please feel free to speak up. so far this is what i think. cheap skateboard: pros= its cheap cons= will it break easier? what if i injure my self because it couldnt take the pressure? questions= can i do kick flips, grinds and other trick safely with this? the skateboard with more known names: pros: when i learn hardcore tricks, i wouldnt have to upgrade? its reliable, so it wont break when i practice on tricks. it will live longer? cons: its more expensive, I dont know if it really is as good as it sounds, is the parts worth it? question= is it even really better then the cheap one? sorry but i really have no clue which brands are good or bad... please help and thank you in advance

    The Flip board sounds good, just don't buy a board already put together because they will usually end up screwing you in the end. Good luck!

DONT BUY FLIP THEY SUCK!! If you want to buy a set up you have to do it the right way, Go to your local skate shop and they will help you through the price range and the products that are recommended. Personally, Dont buy a cheap Walmart deck or any of the sort Because it will be a waste of money and you'll end up having to buy a good set up in the long run any way By the way my favorite brand is Habitat, but i think Element Skateboard would be the cheapest professional grade skateboard company that makes completes if you decide to go that route.
