How do i "catch" the board when doing a kickflip?
-
I have been skating for 2 years now. I can ollie an 8 stair, Pop shuv a 5 stair (as far as I know) and I can boardslide and 50 50 almost anything pretty well. But I can't do a damn kickflip on flat ground. Here's my situation: Every tip I have heard of had to do with catching the board. How do you catch it? It flips to damn fast. How do I "wait" for the griptape to show so I can catch it. Its all luck. Everytime I do commit, its ALWAYS caught primo, barely upside down. And its pissing me off. I keeep falling cuz of primo. If I don't try to catch it with my back foot, it flips fine, when I do try to catch it with my back foot, primo. Boom, fall on my ***, redo, etc. What do I do??? PS, I can't stick my backfoot (I'm regular).
