  • Hey what up so I am reallyy getting into skateboarding/ longboarding etc and I'm kindof nervous to try it because I really can't get hurt that would be bad if I broke something so can anyone tell me a good board to start out with? I really think I'm going to go towards the longboarding side because I don't want to do tricks and I am a surfer so it fits my lifestyle better. Also could someone please tell me the difference between a longboard and a cruise board? Out of all the different types of board there are, which one goes the slowest?     get the gravity hyper carve, if your going to be carving surf style. difference between cruiser and longboard is the cruiser is smaller and easier to carry but the longboard gives you a better ride and is more stable giving you a better ride no board really goes faster than the other (except the DH boards bult for speed) but if you really want to control speed and not go to fast get 65mm 78a wheels( the smaller the wheel the slower you go) happy trails

One wont necessarily go slower than the other. Try the Earthwing Superglider, Gravity Drop Kick, or Sector 9 Super Shaka.
