How do you do the splits?And how do you do the hald splits i am 90 degrees away please read disc !! for more !?

  • I am not very flexable and every way i try doing them i am allways 90 degrees from getting there so i wonder is anyone can tell me how they got to do the splits .. als how do you do the half splits pleaseplease please leave me a message to tell me how!!

    My advice is to just practice. There's a few stretches that my friend showed me (she does rhythmic gymnastics) in which you do a lunge with your front foot closer in. You're almost sitting on it, pretty much. Then lean back and touch your fingertips to the floor. I did it a few times, and I can do the splits now, and I don't do gymnastics or anything, I just did dance team. Also, another good stretch is where you lay on your back, grab between the ankle and knee of one of your legs, and pull it back as far as you can. Hold that for a little (at least 10 seconds, that's what I do). You can also do a V on the floor and try to touch your toes. The best time for you to stretch is also right after you get out of the shower or something, when you're warm and your muscles are relaxed. But be careful not to pull a muscle!

Well basically the only way is to stretch every day! Don't stretch cold muscles, always warm up. Go for a walk or a jog, or have a nice warm shower. Then you stretch! Reach out and hold each toe for about 30 seconds, sit in straddle and reach as far forward as you can, then reach for each foot. Then stand up with your feet at shoulder width and, without bending your knees, try to touch the ground. Do frog stretches, butterfly stretches, and straddle is good too. My favourite stretch - find a nice big wall, lie on the floor with your butt right up against the wall and your legs up on the wall (hard to describe...) then split your legs and let gravity do its thing! If you stay like this for the duration of a favourite TV show then you will probably notice a difference by the end of the show. Gravity is marvellous, take advantage of it! =D Look on internet sites and you will find heaps of useful stretches. Stretch all the time, when you're watching TV, when you're on the phone, when you're bored etc etc etc... Once you've stretched all the muscles in your legs, try to do the splits. Hold each way for about a minute, then swap. Each day push yourself a little harder, it may hurt, but just make sur eyou don't overdo it! If it starts to hurt when you're not stretching, take a break!!! I learned by doing all of what I just said, it didn't take too long, you just have to be determined! Good Luck!!

I was the same way! what i did is every day I would work on it. First make sure you are breathing deeply when you are doing this. Next when you breath in try to go down more. Once you go as far down as you can hold that position for about a minute. do this tree times a day, and eventually you will get it.
