What can I do for a gymnastics rip?

I need help to make my rip heal fast?

  • ok so i got a rip in gymnastics on bars a big one and i have a comp in 5 days how can i make it heal fast 10 points for best answer

  • Answer:

Ok, trust me this works miracles! I'm a level 8 so I get rips like you wouldn't believe. First, clean it really good (it will sting but you don't want to get an infection so I suggest you tough it out) then before you shut the water off, turn it up as hot as you can stand it without burning yourself, then keep your hand under the water for about 30 seconds. This will toughen up the skin and should eliminate most stinging by simply touching something. Then cover it with Neosporin and a few Band Aids. Leave this on overnight, then take it off in the morning to let it air out. Do this every night until it heals (which should only be about 2 until it doesn't hurt to do bars on again). Oh, and vitamin E works wonders as well.

keep it clean , stay off it for as long as you can, and most improtantly tape it up really good and you probably wont even notice it when you are competing

Well you could use performance enhancers but i doubt u want that. You can just rest, stretch, drink fluids, and try to be as active as possible so that you dont come back and be out of shape.

keep it clean, eat lots of protein, drink lots of water. Can't do anything except stay healthy , don't rip it more.

Dannygirl

iodine (it stings!!!) and put a bandage on.
