What should I put in a pocket skateboarding kit?
-
I just want a kit that I can put in the pocket of my jeans and head to the skatepark and know that I will have everything that I will probably need in case of injury or a minor skateboard failure. The main problem is that it feels uncomfortable in my pocket (either because it pokes out too much or is too heavy), mainly when doing flip tricks. Could you please tell me what you have in yours that is comfortable to carry or what you would put in yours if you had one? Also what do you carry your kit in (please include pics of kit and/or what you carry it in if possible). Thanks

Answer:
You're at a skate park, not out in the woods. I don;t think you need a kit. When it comes to repares on a skateboard, if a monkeywrench and screwdriver won;t fix it, it's probably not fixable. When it comes to injuries, if it really needs treating right away, it's going to need something too big to carry, and probably a trip to the clinic. Aside from band aids and bandages, which aren't worthwhile until you;ve washed the wound anyway, what are you going to carry? A splint? an ice pack? a neck brace? The best thing to carry is probably a big bandana. You can stick it on a bleeder, or use it to tie a sling for a broken arm (google it), or put it over your face for committing minor crimes and/or joining occupy wall street. Of course, all of this assumes you already have a helmet. With a few exceptions, you can't fix head injuries. You just end up retarded, or dead, or paralyzed. Wheelchairs - talk about something that sticks out of your pocket and is too heavy, yeeesh.

Take a small backpack and put ehatever you need in there and just put it down while you're skating and if you need it then get it

Me personally i do not carry anything.. Just my key's a few dollar's .. I cannot skate with a bounch of crap in my pocket cause like you said it gets in the way & dosen't let you perform effectively while skating...etc. I don't even carry my cell phone cause its a touch screen & if i fall it will most likely break& leaving my phone on the bench or ledge would not be an oppotion cause its not a guarantee it would be there when you go back for it.. If you know what i mean... But if you really want to carry a small kit in your pocket your best bet would be to basically carry a few bandage's & those little disposable antibiotic ointment packages.. They pretty small like bandage packets & are flat not taking much space . They will aid you for small scrapes &cuts ... But if i was you i would simply carry a backpack & carry everything you need ... You could put everything in there any health kit options you have in mind.. You could carry skate tools just in case you need 1.. Carry anything you need basically to that spot you gonna skate.. Just make sure you place it in a safe place & keep an eye for it at all times while you skate you know so it won't get jacked... Goodluck though..
