What should i do, go on a swim team or go into a martial art?
-
o.k, so my dad wants me to go onto a swim team cause i am a good swimmer, but i also want to go into a a martial art. if i go into a martial art, i get to learn something important ( that is to defend myself) and if i go onto a swim team i don't really learn anything( all i do is compete and stuff like that) and i am already a pretty good swimmer.and my dad really wants me to go onto a swim team and i sorta need to know how to explain all of this to him.so can you help me please?

Answer:
If you want swimming to just be a hobby and you want to learn a new skill, go with martial arts. If you are more serious about swimming and think you have a future in it then you should focus on swimming.
