How to get a higher toe touch?

im trying out for cheerleading in 7th grade next year and i need a higher toe touch. i cant do a perfect straddle split so in y toe touch i bring my legs kinda in front of me. its getting higher but its not perfect toe touch height, HELP??!!

High toe touches require flexibility and muscle mass. When stretching your middle splits, make sure your knees are facing the ceiling, if not behind you (turn out your toes). To increase leg muscle for toe touches, try frog jumps (for increased height) and leg lifts/circles while sitting in the straddle position (inner thigh muscle). When jumping, swing your arms powerfully, using the momentum in your shoulder blades to help lift you. Good luck!
