It took a while to get my back walkovers. It takes patience and confidence. I hope with these tips, you can achieve your goal! It's important to have really good splits and back bends (you are arching your back and splitting your legs, so these moves are very important). Practice stretches like pike and toe-touch while you are sitting around at home to limber up your muscles for the splits and this stunt. For your back bends, stand with arms up by your ears. Arch back with your arms still right by your head/ears. It won't be easy first but practice pushing up into a bridge first and putting your weight onto your arms/hands. WHEN YOU HAVE THOSE DOWN SOLID, you can officially move on to your back walkover. To do the actual back walkover -- Have someone spot you first, arching your back. While you are going back you have to be pulling your leg back at the same time. Otherwise it is choppy and MUCH harder to get over. Start with your leg up (make sure you have your balance), its easier. Make sure you KEEP YOUR ARMS OVER YOUR HEAD. Good luck!

well just to let u know it took me a while to get my back walk over.. i believe the secret to getting a back over better perfect is to 1) go into the backbend 2) rock 3 times (back, forward, back) 3) one the last rock back use all ur leg muscles to kick over.. most importantly PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT !! .

To improve your back walk overs you could practice doing your backbends then take one foot and put it in the air and try to get up!Also keep doing your back bend kick over.Push off hard with your feet.

well it depends on how much you need to improve. first of all make sure you are looking at your hands. then kick over and pull your hips to the back. as you are flipping start to straighten your head so it is looking forward not at your hands. then put your feet on the ground and raise your arms. good luck and remember that it will get better only if you practice. it took me forever to get some of my gymnastics moves. (working on backtuck going on 2 years)
