yay another one to the ranks =D me and most of my friends that do parkour are nerds so it doesn't matter where you start but go to americanparkour.com find some tutorials and go out and start practicing.. i suggest you start with the roll and landing learning those first will save you many many overuse injuries in the future also remember its all about progression.. any and every movement can be simplified and slowly built up.. you can also go to http://www.learnmoreparkour.com/ that website is run by 2 twin brothers and i really really like there tutorials because they show the technique, progression steps, prerequisites, and exercises to get the move there teaching you good luck on your journey!!

Yeah i'd say start skateboarding. I don't know what part of the world you live in but where I live in the United States, everyone kinda hates on people for parkour. But you know if that's what your into, I can't stop you. About being scared of pain and heights. Just go for it, that's what I do with skateboarding and it works

Ok Parkour... Keep running but maybe go to a park with like slides and monkey bars and that sort of stuff and practice jumping from high, landing in rolls, landing still, jump from bar to bar on the monkey bars. You know just do all sorts of things. Practice flips and stuff somewhere because it is always cool to be able to flip. And most of all HAVE FUN :)

start skateboarding, people will think your cool and you'll learn great tips like timing precision and just the natural way your body is engineered. simple yet effective skill's that are a must to parkour.
