How easy is it to switch high schools during the school year?

Do you have to wait a full year or a remainding school year to play sports when you switch schools?

• my friend is really good at football. He has a futurre in it but the coaches play favorites and wont play him or put him on varsity. he is on jv and is a junior and some schools are telling him that he will be on varsity if he goes to them he knows the coaches at one school in particualllr and know they will play him on varsity. However there is a year wait. is it one full year as in twelve months or a school year. He want to leave in january, so does that means no sports until may when the school year is over or a full year until january again. i have to find out because if its a school year he will play his senior year but if its a full year he the season will be over and he will graduate. should he even move? either way he will be a senior they will have to put him on varsity, but if he switches the chances of him playing will be greater where if he stays he will most likely sit him the whole time, and he is very good he was fastest in our district until he tore his acl(and yes i know the whole once you tear your acl football is over for you for the rest of your life crap keep it out of your answer cause its not true! i know i am studying physiacl therapy so i can help injured athletes and its all in the athlete they need the dedication to help it get back to top thats the only reason it ruins careers the dedication it tkaes as alot cause its painful) anyway he is back and he is faster than ever so do you have to wait the full year 12 months or a remainding school year in his case 6 months
