What are some good beginner guitars(electric and acoustic?

Beginner sabre or Excalibur right off the bat?

• I'm in my school's color guard and I have been for a few seasons now. Our director told us that we will be spinning sabres starting next year. (for the first time) I already spin flag and rifle, I know when I started rifle it was a lot easier since I got my own before the season started. I'm looking to do the same with sabre. I know a few people in my guard that started right off the bat on a real, metal, show sabre. I was looking online and I saw that beginner sabres (Made of aluminum and 32 inches) are a lot cheaper then Excalibur sabres (which our director said we would be using. Stainless steal, and 36 inches) At the moment it would be better financially to get the beginner, but I'm worried that it will make it harder to adjust to the much longer show sabre. I do want to get one now, so that I have all summer to practice. My neighbor has been in guard for 8 years, she agreed to teach me Should I start on a beginner or excalibur?
