  It really depends on your parents, try doing a sort of "deal." Do a compromise. Make a contract up by yourself saying what your parents wouldnt want you to do with it like shoot a cat or a bird... Or your little brother in the face. Say youll always wear goggles with it whatever you can think of that your parents can see you doing bad with it. Sign it on the bottem and make a slot for your parents signature. And of course follow the contract or they probably won't trust you and you won't be able to use that trick again. Even ask them to edit it (last resort) if they say no tell them they can modify or add onto the contract as they like but make sure you agree to what they added or changed as well.
