how do i do a backflip and do you do something different if you are gonna do a backflip in free running like jump off a bench backflip then roll?

All you have to do is... 1. Jump straight up as high as you can (WARNING DO NOT ARCH OVER BACKWARDS AND JUMP) 2. When you get to the peak of your jump tuck up and use your head and legs to throw your weight back in order to flip over. 3. Hold your tuck until you hit the ground, later on when you get better you get used the way you back flip you should know when to untuck. How to flip off bench. Depends how you want to do this, if you want a backflip going backwards then your going to have to do a "180 backflip" to break fall. If you want to do a gainer it's the same deal but... 1. Run forward 2. Jump towards half way between straight forward and straight up. 3. Tuck up and flip over 4. Land and roll. Hope this helped

Ok, it took me like 6 months to learn my backflip. I take gymnastics and it's not that easy to just learn it at your house. But If you want to, you need to be able to jump high. Then you should practice it on a trampoline because these can be dangerous. It's about going up and tucking. So all a back tuck is is you jump up high, at the top you tuck your knees in and lean back, then you land it. Please don't hurt yourself :)

first of all get a spotter, someone that can hold you and help you flip through the backflip, do this on a trampoline, after enough times doing it comfortably with the spotter than do it without. when doing the backflip do it more up and down, instead of jumping way behind you and doing so, try and land a foot behind from where you jumped. if you want to learn how to do one off a bench, its very low to the ground so you dont need to roll. Also when doing a backflip spot your landing and stomp it, they are easier than doing front flips, but harder to learn. The main thing you need to know when attempting one is fear. As long as you can overcome your fear of falling on your head you will have no problem
make sure your back is bendable, 1) bend your back 2) Flip over and keep going
