Do you wear soccer cleats for girls lacrosse?

• okay so lacrosse is in the spring and i really want to do a spring sport. the team encourages new players to come out. i'm currently a freshman and there are 3 teams. freshman, jv and varsity. obviously i wont make varsity or jv but i just want to see how it's like. my main sport is soccer but i want to try something new. i really need to know what stick i should get for lacrosse that's not very expensive but will fit the regulation for high school girls lax. i'm kind of nervous that i'll get an unregulated stick so i need opinions here. i'm a freshman girl who's 14 years old. also i want to know about the goggles/headgear and what is appropriate for me to wear. i know you shouldn't use clear mouth guards too. please help me out here! 10 points for best answer! preferably a girls lacrosse player!

  Hey! So I'm a freshman and one of my main sports in soccer, as well. I'm trying out for varsity LAX because my school doesn't have a JV team. (and apparently I'm good enough) About the stick. If you know the coach to your freshman team, then ask her about what stick not to buy. I have a Nike 10 Degree. But, since you are new, I'm guessing that you won't want to pay $130 for a stick. So maybe try STX because they have really good beginner's sticks, as well as goggles. (last year was my first year playing and I bought a STX stick) Plus, you won't need to buy another stick if you get one from STX for about 2 yrs. Or, go to Dick's Sporting Goods because the people that work there know what they're doing. As for headgear, you need goggles. Make sure that they fit! If you feel the metal hitting your eyes, then get a bigger size. I don't know why you can't use clear mouth pieces, but if you don't want to, then don't. Just make sure that you mold it (if you play soccer then you should know how) As for positions: I like midfield and attack. Midfield because you get to experience both defensive and offensive modes. Attack because I love scoring.
