How are blue and pink iridium lenses for night?

Oakley iridium lenses? ? ?

  • I was wondering what the shade/color difference was between the Tungsten iridium, Slate iridium, Titanium iridium and Black iridium lens. They all look alike from the pictures I see online.

  • Answer:

The base tint (color of the lens when you look through it) is different on each of the lenses. Black Iridium is a dark Grey base tint with dense mirror ("white"?) iridium coating on it. This is going to be the most "opaque" of the lenses you have mentioned here (hardest to see your eyes). Slate is a light grey base with a shiny coating. It's very easy for people to see your eyes. Titanium is a more brown based tint with the shiny coating. Tungsten, I believe is a more medium grey based tint with a shiny coating. please keep in mind color is subjective (we all see colors differently) but from what I Remember, these are the differences. It's been a while since i've had tungsten or titanium IR glasses. HTH D
