Dry Eyes contacts problem?

Wear rec specs or contacts w/ handy solution during sports?

  • I used to never have a problem wearing contacts while playing baseball. As an outfielder, it's important to not blink when fielding/tracking the ball. However, lately, my contacts dry up fairly quickly and I'll lose sight of the ball. Although when it is humid or misty out, my eyes fare much better, as expected. Should I 1) bring contact soln. / eye drops? If so, is there a certain brand/type that will provide enduring moisture for my eyes while my eyes are open for an extended period of time while running? or should I 2) consider purchasing rec specs (non-prescription) to shield the wind from drying out my eyes while running for/fielding a ball? If so, is fogging a problem, and how to solve that? Would this be effective? Insight would be great. Spring ball starts soon.
