How to skateboard?

my friend says you just have to learn to skateboard by yourself. but my mom wont buy me a skateboard until i learn. My cousin wont even let me touch his skateboard. And my bro says skateboarding is not for girls, so he doesnt exactly support me. How should i learn how to skateboard? how do you learn?

hmmm ..how come ur mum says that she wont buy u a skateboard until u learn ?? u cant learn unless if u ride it .. if u rly wanna learn u have to get 1 no matter what, or try watching videos .That may help a lil .. p.s : skating is for girls also
