I need help on skateboard size.

Skateboard help!?!? ?

  • Okay well my little sisters birthday is coming up and she told me how she always wanted a skateboard. So I decided to spend a lot of money on one for her. Okay well my sister told me she wanted a krooked skateboard, I think thats what it's called. But anyway she currently weighs 130 pounds, she's 13, and she's a size 8 in women shoes oh and if u need her height it's 5'6" and my question is what size deck should I get her? All she wants is to skate on roads and streets and do tricks. Please help! On what size!?

    Awww thats nice of you.. Your a good sis ;) I would recommend a 7.5" deck in width ... The lenth does not really matter in skate boards unless she like under 5"feet but as you said she is not.. So just get her a krooked 7.5".by 31 " or 32.. Thats usually the size they sell & have anyways.. The reason i said 7.5" is cause i think this board works out well for light weight people & people with a small shoe size.. Its easy for them to control the the board .. These narrow boards are easier to flip than wider boards..etc.. There are other brands though.. But if she wants that 1 well i guess she ain't that picky cause krooked boards are not that expensive or whatever .. They are good quality skateboards though....

I skateboard a lot and have learnt that your board should come just under your waist and should be about as wide as your shoes. So trace her shoes onto paper and get her hieght . But when you buy the board DO NOT BUY IT FROM WALMART OR PLACES LIKE IT go somewhere like venom west 49 or make sure it's brand name including element, aod. I have a venom board and it's great. If you don't do this than the board and trucks are likely to snap as I have learnt from experience. And of course you should buy a skate helmet if it's her first time and I can make a video for lessons of you would like her to learn the basics.

i have been skating for a long time and her size dosnt really matter on what type of board to get it all prefrence nothing else. (unless the board is Really out of porpotion) for a really small board i would say about 7.5 and for a decently big one 8.0 i would recomend giving her a 7.75 somthing right in the middle espesily if its her first one. and if this dosnt work for whatever reson just ask her.

Lol shes freakn tall 4 being 13 and well i think it should be able to touch her waist if she stands the board up

its really only one size most skateboards are the same size it doesn't matter how fat you are or the size of your foot.
