What does being technical on a skateboard mean?

On a skateboard, the little red circle/star, does tht mean the front or back??

  circle/star???? WIERD...the way u can tell whether it's the nose or tail, is like the nose should be theoretically bigger and the tail should be a lil smaller. so when u flick towards the nose it is easier. So the nose should be bigger, and wider. THe tail not as big.
