What are some good cheerleading workouts that i could do to get in shape for tryouts?

    ok so im in cheerleading and heres what we do . run for 5 minutes tops . stretch for 10 . conditioning which includes the following 25 jumping jacks 10 push up 20 crunches 30 sit ups 10 v ups 5 up-downs and as funny as it may sound we jump up and down 100 times to help with jumps . after that we work on are jumps which are really important so pratice those. almost every squad i know does toe touches, double toe touches, pikes, and herkys do about ten of each or keep going until you get them! . practice ur motions alot! anmd smile ur butt off! i wish u the best of luck and hope i was of help!

Running is a good way to get in shape for anything... stretching and working on splits helps with felxibility for jumps, and is especially helpful if you're a flyer. If you're not a flyer then lifting weights can help prepare you for stunts too

The cheerleaders at my school do a lot of cardio mixed in with weight training in order to build up strength for tumbling and stunting. V-ups are a good abdominal workout to strengthen your core.
