Which Paintball marker is better for first gun?

What difference does it makes an electronic marker, on a paintball gun?

  • im planing to buy a paintball gun but ive never seen one with an electronic marker, it says it can be used both ways, whats the advantage of the electronic marker? its a spyder pilot

  • Answer:

A mechanical marker uses a mechanical trigger to fire the marker. An electronic marker uses a micro-switch on the trigger to start the process. Because of this it will have a much higher rate of fire than the mechanical marker (20+ bps is common) and can also have multiple fire modes, 3 shot burst, full auto, ramping etc etc. On top of this most decent electronic markers (and some not so decent) have 'eyes' which means they will not fire unless the ball is in the right place so are less probe to chopping.
