How does the speed parachute help you?

Does the size of the parachute matter when u r speed training or does the sled help more?

    two different exercises. the sled helps your endurance but may help you to focus on developing with a short explosive step. It is an essential training system to get your body used to selling the hip forward and maintaining drive during a block. (and good with the ladies later in life) the parachute is something you use during full leg extension upright running. I never used it myself, but obviously a larger chute = more resistance = more explosiveness when you are unencumbered. I'd imagine you should use a chute that wont really slow you down too much, but provide a rough resistance so you get quicker to a good burn to keep developing that explosiveness. Make sure the chute isnt so large and provides so much resistance that you cant get a full range of motion with your legs. That would be almost counter productive. I just ran tons of stadiums and wind sprints and it cut my 40 by .2 secs.
