Which is easier to ride the wave or the ripstik?

What's better for general cruising/transportation: a wave board, a street board, a Ripstik, or a skateboard?

  • I'm looking for something for cruising around and general transportation (basically get from point A to point B with minimal effort while still being a good workout and most of all, fun). I'm going to be using it in hilly terrain, so this is why the Ripstik/waveboard seem like they'd shine (can propel uphill). Not too into tricks, but that would be a cool bonus. Definitely not planning on going to skateparks, etc with it. I've never tried anything but skateboarding which I used to be fairly decent at back in the day. Also, whatever I choose has to be fairly easy to learn or I'll get discouraged and put it in the closet. Any suggestions on which is best/preferred for this type of use?

  • Answer:

go on CCS.com dude, and look at the long boards. I suggest the Santa Cruz Landshark. CCS is a soild site get all my clothes and boards from there. And if you want to really cuise with your board get bones swiss bearings :D AND WHATEVER you do dont get a ripstick for transportation, yea i have one there fun for just riding around in one area but going up hill is just as hard probably harder than a skateboard, plus if you get a long board or a cruzer you can just ride over cracks and rocks
