How to land a kickflip on a skateboard?

wenever i try to do a kickflip the board ends up going 2 high. i can get the spin but i cant land it because it goes 2 high. how do i end up above the board wen i do a kickflip?

I've never heard of a kickflip going to high. Getting high kickflips is a good thing. Just stay above the board, catch it, and land it. But if it is a problem don't pop to hard and kick the board harder and faster so it doesn't go high and you can catch it faster to stop the height. Hope this helped, good luck.
