Answer:
Learn the three basic strikes in Volleyball first. Watch video on them, do the motions in the air with no ball, etc. Just to get a basic understanding of what you're doing. 1. Digging/Bumping/Passing - Make a fist with your left hand, but stick your thumb up in the air. Then enclose your right hand over it, while also sticking that thumb up too. Bring the tumbs together and relax your hands. All the power or lack of power comes from your legs and butt. f the ball is cranked at you, draw it in with straight parallel forearms and a slight push out will sufice to get the ball in the air. Never swing your arms, keep them straight out from you body and remember, its all in your legs. 2. Volleying/Setting - Your gonna use the thumb, index and middle fingers on each hand. Hold your hands in the air in friont of your face and imagine you're cupping the bottom of the ball with those 6 fingers and just let the other 4 stick out as well, its not gonna kill you if they touch the ball aswell. Bring your thumbs in to your forehead and push out. You shouldn't be returning serves or spikes with this, thats for digs. 3. Attacking/Spiking - Point your left arm in the direction you want the ball to go. Draw your right arm back so that your open hand is facing awa from your head. THe back of your hand should be less than a cm away from your ear. Then just lead with your elbow and shoulder and swing for the fences. Make sure to collapse your abs and fold the arms across your body as it gives more power. That's the technique and as for practicing, ALL i do for off season training is a simple drill against my garage door and I'm captaining my team next year, so it definitely helps. Throw a ball up in the air nice and high, and spike it as it comes down, landing before your door and rebounding up after it hits the door. Let it rebound off the garage and when it comes back bump it at the garage. This time don't let it hit the ground. When it comes back this time, set backwards behind you, not too far, but far enough to need to move for it. Backpedal and get it and set it forward, then run forward and set it backwards, you get where thats going. After 5 each, send one straight up in the air, and spike it against the door again, repeat the drill. You're gonna screw up the spikes alot, we all do, just keep practicing, and if you ever have free time, run up and down your stairs, forewards and backwards, staying light on your toes. Also, watch lots of videos on the internet for a good visual aid and make sure to brush up on the rules of the game each day so they're solid by the time you get to school next year. Eat healthy too, it just helps your athletic performance in general. The coach will take the best athletes first because they can be taught the game, trust me, I had never played Volleyball in grade 9, but i was tall and athletic so I was a starting middle and by the end of the season was the best hitter on the team. Your coach(s) will work with you, if not, the school needs a new coach. Hope that helped. PS. Little tricks would be, not trying the crank a spike, its speed more than power. Also, KNEEPADS are a life saver, they are a must. Not sure how tall you are, but if you're tall, you'll make the team no problem as long as you put in the practice time.

just practice everyday, it doesn't take long to teach, its very simple. rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr…
ok first, there 3 types of strike, you can hit the ballon with yout 2 hands to push it, you can cross your hands together and and stike from low with your wrist, or you can say **** that, jump over the fillet and slam the ballon in the ground , witch can only be done after 3 exchanges from team to team, the rules are simple, you cant touch the fillet, and if the ballon goes out of the line the point goes to the team that recived the ballon... that's pretty much it

Go to a local Boys and Girls club or YMCA, they have volleyball programmes and can teach you. Or, gather some friends and play in your backyard or at the beach.
