Extremely sore muscles. quickest way to relax them.?

i just had volleyball tryouts today, and we did some intense workouts. my whole body is sore, especially my legs. tryouts continue until thursday. my question is, i want to know the quickest way to relax my muscles. i've already drunk my legs in a hot bucket of water. it worked for a bit, and they became sore and tight again. i've been stretching all day. they also helped but got tight again. can i use tylenol to relax them or is that not the best thing to do. and can you guys tell me what you do to relax your muscles after your intense practices from sports. please respond by tonight. thanks (:

1. take some ibprofin/motrin not asprin or tylenol. 2. Stretch as much as possible throughout the day, before and after practice. It may hurt a bit when you are stretching but ultimately it will loosen your muscles. 3. try not to baby your muscles, i mean, by no means keep extreme exercises, but dont be afraid to get up and walk or something. 4. Try eating a banana with peanut butter. The potassium will help with soreness and the peanut butter will help your muscle repair. 5.Ice baths. if you can stand them. lol

Don't use hot water, that'll hurt even more. ice them down, relax, lay down, keep your head elevated and your legs up. Don't stress or do anything strainuous. Good luck!

OMG MEE TOO! except mine last for the next wo weeks and I am SO sore. isnt going up and down on stairs the worst? uuh me too SO SORE! strecth alot. ice them . ice where ever it hurts. for a few mins then switch then again.forzen vegi bags from the frezzer work good tooo. we got like bengay ,i havent used it yet tho. and yes the tylenol does help.=] get pletly of sleep for the next day. dont use hot water it makes it worse. i kinda massage my legs alittle too it kinda helps. also walk on them and stuff you dont want to "baby" them . the icing helps alot and strecthing in the morning before you get there. usaully you just have to get throught it but trust me i feel your pain. good luck! i hope i helped and i hope you make the team!

Don't use hot water!!!!! Biggest rule ever. No wonder your sore. Get out ice pads, and ice where your sore. 15 minutes on, 15 minutes off. Repeat a lot ;) Stretch before you put ice bags back on. Lay down and relax. if it still hurts, take advil or ibuprofen. Hope you feel better.
