Yes you can, I recommend getting a head start on your overhand servings so you can develop your skills more by the time you get to high school. Its a great advantage when it comes to 9th grade tryouts, and you will be ahead of your game. But don't try to learn it on your own, trust me, ask your coach or a trainer. It also helps watching older players because everyone has their different technique.

You can serve underhand for sure! I'm on my high school team, and last year one of the girls scored so many pints on just her serve because she knew where to place the ball. You should work on overhand though because it's stronger, but you should also work on being able to place the ball in different parts of the court as well. Happy playing!

In Texas in middle school you can serve underhand and overhand, 7th grade is a learn year, you learn the game

I am pretty sure that you can serve underhand still. We use to when i was in your grade. I would suggest working on your overhand serve though, for the future :) Good-luck
