What should I know for High School JV Volleyball tryouts?

Umm...well you always need to hustle because they can always teach you the fundamentals. you should practice bumps and sets and you can do this to yourself. just pass it strait up and then set it a little infront of you. this will help with your foot work to because your getting your feet under you.

you sound athletic and that is a major plus. Start running, and sprints, they do ladders and sprints at most tryouts..you don't want to get burned out before you show them your skills. Camps are definetly good, check if the school offers one, getting the coaches to see your interested in the summer is a plus. put your heart in it and have fun!

it really depends on what position you're going for. but here's what you should know. overhand serving -at a hs level, they won't take underhand serves. setting if you're going to be a setter, the different positions of sets. rotation, a must must. moving to the ball fast volleyball stance. that's all i can think of for now. i hope you make the team!!

You really need to perfect your setting and serving. Get all the basics down cold (like pushing you're knees up when you hit the ball) Then do the fancy things like doing a good spike. good luck, and pleaz report me!!!!!!
