Any drills for volleyball?

How can I get better at volleyball? What are some skills and drills I can work at?

  • Okay. I am going into 7th grade next year and I really want to get on the volleyball team. I have been practicing volleyball almost everyday, and I am getting better. One of my weak spots that I absolutely need to improve on is bumping. I am a pretty good 'bumper', but my aim is pretty terrible, and sometimes I feel like I am not hitting to ball exactly in the right spot. What are some drills or techniques I could use to get better? I also want to get better at not only bumping but also the other skills/guidlines to be able to get on the team. What are some drills that coaches would have teams do? What are some simple skills that I could work on? Lastly, I always want to practice volleyball everyday, but when the weather is crappy I never know what to do. What are some INDOOR practices that I could do with or even without a volleyball (without ruining my house that is)? Any other volleyball tips you have would also be great. Thanks so much! All and any answers are appreciated. God Bless! <3

If you really want to see a change in your volleyball game, train your CORE. Training your core WILL make you a better player due to drastically improving your swing speed, power, quickness and reaction as well as balance and vertical jump. There are many ways to train the core, but not many fun ways :) That's why I am here. I have a FREE Volleyball Training Resources Ebook that you can grab by going to http://www.trainingforvolleyball.com. A box will pop up...fill it out and you will get a confirmation email. Confirm that you requested the Ebook and in the next email will be the free ebook. There are a bunch of exercises, workouts, drills and videos as well as tips. Everything in there will change your game and have your teammates and coaches asking what you are doing :) Good Luck!

Okay I play volleyball and I'm trying to be an MVP on it. Some steps for you to follow. 1. Run like 4 laps a day. 2. Learn how to jump high. 3. Learn how to dive. 5. Learn how to spike the ball with your hand open, don't punch it. 6. Learn how to pass the ball. 7. Serve the ball. 8. Remember there's three position in the team and six players. 9. First one is serving, who stays in the back. 10. Second position is the center the one in the middle who set the ball to the setter infront of the net. 11. Third position two spikers whoever set them the ball they have to spike over the net as hard as you can.
