What's the difference between Online School and Regular School?

Whats the difference in level between club volleyball and high school varsity volleyball?

  • so i'm going to be a junior next year and i'm trying out for my school's varsity volleyball team (we're a pretty competitive school for sports and juniors aren't allowed to be on jv, so either i make varsity or i get cut from the whole program). i played freshman last year and then played my first year of club, then i made jv this year as a sophomore, and now i'm playing my second season of club in preperation for varsity tryouts this august, my question is, whats the difference in level between club and high school varsity? i'm a starting outside hitter for a 16s team (http://www.mavbc.org/ <this club) and i get kills and such, today my team played a team seeded like 8th in the whole region and took them to three games. do you think i'm prepared for varsity?? thankss!(:

  • Answer:

Varsity and Club are both competitive. High school volleyball is competitive but not as competitive as club volleyball. Club volleyball has teams from all over. For high school you're only playing other schools and throughout the season you already figure out the teams strengths and weaknesses. Club volleyball is more competitive but you're capable of making any team. Just hustle, do your best, and play your game! :)

high school is less strict on who they allow on the team.

Club is an outside school program, and it has a lot higher level of competition. If you played an 8th ranked team and took them to three games, your team must have been really good! And if you seem that good, then you definitely have the skills and talent for varsity. Don't worry about tryouts, you will make varsity! I can tell that from your club team you have gotten a lot better.

I think you should do fine on varsity. Club costs you more money and thats where you get more scouts looking at you and you have trained professional coaches to teach you where as at school you do it for fun and coaches look at your sportsmanship and how you act on the court and also on the bench so take that all into consideration. Good Luck!(:
