How is the UCSD volleyball camp?

Volleyball Camp Question?

• This may be a long post, but it is a pretty basic question (no research needed) I just want some other opinions on a volleyball summer camp that is right for me, based on the things I am about to tell you. ~I am 13, grade 8 and was on my junior high B team ~ I feel most comfortable around $250 budget for camp ~I can't do a camp in August because I am going on a 3 week vacation. ~I am not bad at the sport for my age, but I definitely am not terrific -am pretty controlled with my sets and bumps, not totally accurate all the time but usually close enough. -I am 5'8 with a pretty high vertical so I am generally good at hitting and blocking. -I CANNOT overhand serve and it annoys the heck out of me! One of my goals. I have 3 choices in mind: ~H.I.T.T Volleyball camp Pros: Really good at training with results, Probably the best in the area, fits my time range (it is early July) Cons: $575 for 5 days- and although my mom said to consider it I really am not sure about this as I already feel guilty about my $2100 Qubec trip this year with my french class. Also that it is so good I might be out of my skill level ~A local College Camp Pros: about $275 last year, I wouldn't feel out of place skill wise Cons: Last year it was late august. This is NOT a possibility, but I do not know if it will be the same time. ~ Impact Volleyball Pro: My personal choice, not sure price wise but likely around $300, Good for my skill level Cons: It didn't even come to my town last year (it did 6 years previous, but last year could not get staff), I think it MAY be august camp Please, I need an outsiders opinion of my predicament. If you want google the 1st and 3rd for info to help. I really need advice!

  My suggestion would be to do the first one. Although it is expensive it is the best choice. You should never chose not to do a camp because it is out of your skill level league. That type of camp will only make you meet their standards and then better. Hope I helped.
