What will i need to know for volleyball tryouts?

yes I've tried out so you need to make sure you can do the basic bump set and spike. you also need to be in shape and ready to run and move your feet. wear sport shorts and a sort of loose tee, nothing with glitter or from hollister or abercrombie, unless its not form fitting or something you wear everyday. wear volleyball socks and knee pads (but only if you have them, if you don't just wear socks) and good, sturdy athletic shoes with laces that TIE securely. no jewlery of ANY kind; no earrings of ANY kind (no hoops, dangling or studs), no neclaces, bracelets, anklets, nose rings, NOTHING. you'll need to make sure you can bump the ball to a target (your partner standing across from you) and set it too. you may or may not be asked to spike. you need to move your feet to get under the ball to hit it, and practice your overhand serving if your in the 8th grade or above. the serve needs to go over the net and in bounds. i wish i could coach you in person, but it never hurts to ask a more experienced player for tips or demonstrations. and lastly, remember to have fun and relax!!!!!

what i had for my volleyball practice is simple....knee pads, shoes...were a pear of conformable shorts....and a conformable shirt, make sure your hair is pulled into a ponytail, and if you have bangs try to put them back as well have a great volleyball season, hope your team does well!!!

OK, i have tried out for volleyball and i am really good, you should just wear a tee shirt and thin shorts. and GOOD sneakers. you should know how to bump set spike and serve. for bumping just practice bumping to yourslef. and for setting you should practice that and make sure its high enough for someone to spike it. for spiking its ok if it doesn't go close to the net at first just prctice how hard you hit it. and serving for a starter try to do underhand. Relax and have fun

yes im on the 3rd day of two-a-day tryouts at my highschool just calm down!! do you very best, call every ball, talk to your teamates a lot, be supportive, and be confident!!!! the coaches know that youre nervous and they expect you to mess up sometimes so dont' get too hard on your self if you mess up!! good luck and you ll do fine P.S. bring lots and lots of water!!!!!!!! you'll faint like i almost did if you don' t!!

do a lot of jump roping and jogging and bump the ball to yourself serve to a wall and watch volleyball games that helps me a lot and just be in shape oh and squats

bump, set, spike. quick actions, call the ball, just be yourself. if you don't make it it's not the end of the world. Just Try again next time. and practice in between.

Well I don't have a Volleyball team at my school. But I know somethings. 1. The Digs. 2. Bumps.(To Yourself on your level a couple of times) 3.The Serves. 4.The Sets (You know hit it up w/ your hands together like a diamond.) 5. Remember to relax and have fun. don't worry you'll do great!
