What are the best volleyball knee pads?

Volleyball Tryouts and knee pads? 10 points for best answer!?

  • ok I have volleyball tryouts tommorow and im wearing pink spandex under pink shorts with an old junky t-shirt. I keep reading that you need knee-pads. I dont have time to go and buy volleyball ones, do you think I could sub my skateboarding pads for volleyball pads? I know it would look really silly but its only for tryouts and I need some protection because I know I cant dig a ball without getting a knee burn. Help? Also if you have any tips for me at tryouts that would be good too :)♥ I know the basics. Bring water, a light snack so I dont get dizzy, headband so my bangs dont get in the way, dont try too hard but try your best, etc. Just anything I dont know. Thank you in advance!

  • Answer:

DO NOT wear shorts over your spandex. It will make you look like an ameture when you want to look professional. Skateboarding kneepads will tear up the court so leave early and go to walmart or target or Dick's sporting goods for a real pair of knee pads ( they range from $5-$30) also, be prepared for the coach to give you constructive critisissum (sorry for the spelling) and have a tough skin ... Don't be a girly Girl. Good luck!

just wear your spandex! don't wear shorts on top. & that will look kinda silly! Does maybe a friend of your have kneepads to borrow? Or you could leave your house a little earlier and go to target or Dickssportinggoods or academy or even walmart! You DO need kneepads!!!

Don't wear shorts over your spandex, and if your spandex are a little see through then make sure you wear pink underwear (plan t-shirt as well...at least make sure it matches with your spandex). I wouldn't wear skateboarding knee-pads, it would look a lot better if you went without. It really doesn't hurt that bad if you bump your knee. It also sounds like you're just starting out, possibly on a modified or JV level team (I apologize if I'm wrong), usually at these levels you won't being doing a ton of diving on the floor. The best advice I can give you is to hussle to the ball and try and stay low and on the balls of your feet (flopping on the floor is a last resort when the ball is out of reach). Don't complain to your teammates or coach if you find something difficult. Just try your best! Good luck! Hope this helped =]

well wearing spandex UNDER shorts, no offense kind of makes you look like " okay so im here but should i be nervous?!" if you REALLY want to make a good impression on a coach id ditch the shorts overtop and DEFINETLY not wear a cut off shirt..idc how hot it gets in there it jst makes people look like they would rather show off body parts pluss...its not safe for your body, you could also get floor burns on your sides. And this is just my opinion but i wouldnt wear the skateboarding knee pads because really? floor burns DONT hurt as bad as you think.. i have been playing since kindergarten and im 15 now. I occasionally forget kneepads and i get floor burns but oh well.. its not like im going to die.. and if you move your feet and get to the ball you wont have to worry about getting floor burns. worst case you could also ask your friends if they have an old or extra pair. unless you really want to wear your skateboarding kneepads. good luck! hope i help!
