Could swimming be the reason my back is so strong?

Can someone give me a reason why I wouldn't be able to temporalily go swimming for a week?

  • I had a procedure done that will not allow me to swim for 2 weeks. I do not want to tell a few of my friends who I go swimming with what it is. They know I love to swim and I have been waiting for the pool to open up all year. It would be totally unlike me to not go swimming the first week. They're already talking about it. Any good lies. I was going to use "I'm on my period" if I can't think of any other good ones b/c this one is not that great. Please help. What other health reasons can prevent me from going swimming for 2 weeks?

    If they are your friends, why not just be honest with them?? If they want to know what the operation was, can't you tell your FRIENDS that, "I'd prefer not to talk about it. Please respect that." instead of being a liar? Jeez, why do you have to lie to what you call FRIENDS? reply to additional details: AH! NOW I GET IT! You want US to help you to be a liar which makes US liars, too! Nah, I'll pass on being a liar. You'll have to be creative and establish yourself as the consummate liar so that, should your friends find out that you've lied to them, then they will know that they can't trust you.
