A little bit you need to try something different try doing all the strokes...the four strokes ......backstroke,freestyle,butterfly,and breast stroke...work out for 2 hours.....5min stretching/warming up...45mins on the stroke your bad at then 30 mins on the next worst on..then 25mins on the next stroke then 15mins on the one your best at then you should switch it up every now and then..

If you swim club or highschool, and have a coach, then just do what he says. Kicking with fins doesn't help muscle, just helps kick technique and makes you go farther and faster with less energy. Paddles, like flippers, are strictly technique. As for muscle, use drag suits, kick harder during practice, and pull hard while swimming. Asking coach or someone like that might also help. usaswimming.org also has some good information. Keep hanging in there!

U are on the right track, and yes this will help out a lot...But it sounds more of a Technique Problem more than an Endurance/Strength Issue. Try doing Drills during practice and such. But yes Paddles and kicking will gain Endurance/Strength which will be a strong affect during ur swims.

Yes maybe in strength but what about technique?? Soon technique will be very important!

You need not only pull and kick, but put it all together. I wouldn't recommend an hour of it each. You'll almost most definitly have shoulder and hip problems if you do. Work on drills and technique, I know it sounds dull, but the better technique you have the faster you'll go. Try working on endurance too with longer sets of sprints. Also work on elongating your stroke.

yeah, that should improve your swimming, cos the pull with paddles will improve your arms, and the kicking will improve your kick, but you should do some normal swimming without fiins or paddles to improve your overall swimming and to get used to swimming without paddles

This may help, but you need practice with endurance and technique. Consider joining a team. It's fun and you will have a coach who can see you and really understand what your problems are and then help you to fix them so you will be a better swimmer.
