How long does the bronze medallion course last?

Bronze medallion questions?

  • Well I'm currently taking the course for bronze medallion, and I have a couple of questions: 1) When you treat for shock, how would you do ABC when they are conscience? 2) When they are choking and unconscious, my instructor said something about opening their jaw.. Why? 3) When you mess up on one thing, like 1 rescue, do you automatically fail the whole course? Is the test really easy to pass or fail, if I pay attention, and study?

  • Answer:

1- when you get up to R - response - you stop and try to keep them concious, checking for any injuries with the body pat down thing 2 - if some one is choking and unconcius you need to open their mouth and clear their airways so that they can breath and dont drown on their own vomit 3- if you pay attention it should be REALY easy, especial if uv done your SRC, i dont know what would happen if u messed up a rescue, but when ive done it the examiners were really reasonable, they'd probably let u try again if it was somthing small
