Should I Join The High School Swim Team?

Hi I am going into 9th grade and I love to swim so I was thinking of joining the swim team. I'm not sure if I should join since some of the girls on the team are in the junior Olympics and they all have been on a swim team before and I haven't even been on 1. I emailed my swim coach and she said she welcomes people with different levels of experience but i know i have the lowest amount on the team. Practice starts Monday and I just want to know whether I should join or not because I dont want to make a fool out of my self and most of the girls on the team are extremely popular and they are all friends and I have only been close with one of the girls but she isn't really my friend. I am just so nervous and I don't want to affect the swim team at all and make them lose. :(

Totally do it! I joined with NO experience and loved it! A girl on our team was like number 1 in the state and she was so nice and helpful! DO IT!
