What are some exercises to make your shoulders have more stability?

  • I am a girl and I'm really interested in learning break dance!! And right now, my goal is to try to teach myself the windmill, but I need to be able to hold my body up from the ground with one arm and I want to know some shoulder reps or exercises that'll rly strengthen them and make them a lot more stable for me to learn the windmill. Any advice??

    Shoulder press, pull ups and bench press will strengthen your shoulders. In my opinion however taking yoga will benefit you alot more. Breakdancers need to be flexible and need to be able to hold themselves up. Yoga gets you really flexible and also strengthens the muscles you would use to hold yourself up while dancing depending on what kinds of yoga you do. Take some lessons or join a group or whatever at the Y or goigle/youtube and learn yourself! Also this is a board for a sport of swimming not the board for dance.
