How do we clear up cloudy inground pool water?

How long can my inground pool sit without water?

  • I have a pool full of leaves and debris from a tree falling into it. I need to drain it and clean it. How long do I have after draining?

    i would not drain it completely unless you would like to spend money to purchase a new one. if there is a deep and shallow end to the pool in the shallow side i wouldn't let it get any further down than 2 in in the shallow end. if the water is a green or black ANY water can be treated and clear again. it is not impossible to fix it. just putting several several gallons of chlorine or whatever chemicals you use in your water can clear it up and follow up with some clarifier once it gets to the "milky cloudy stage"
