Does anyone know any swim clubs?

Does anyone one know any good swim poems or quotes that are good?

  • i know some poems like "Swimmers don’t swim because it’s fun. Ask any of us, most of us hate it. But we couldn’t imagine our lives with out it. It’s part of us, its something we live for. We live for the 3 hr. practices, the team parties, the cheers, the long bus rides, the invitationals, the countless swim caps, the chlorine, the jokes the friendships, the laughs, the coaches you hate but appreciate later. We live for the way it feels when you beat the person next to you by a tenth of a second because we know how much it matters and you know those two extra laps you did in practice were worth it. We live for the way you jump every time you hear a buzzer, or the way you scream whenever you heat the gun on the 500 even though you hear it every time. We live for the workouts and the goals we set at the beginning of the season. We live for the way you become a family with your team. We live for the countless songs you sing in you rhead while swimming laps. We live for the people who scream at you even though all you hear is BLAH BLAH BLAH. We live for the competition, the friends, the practices, and for the pain. We live for the race, the sprint, the distance, the team. It’s a part of us because we’re SWIMMERS." or do you remember why you swim or has it been to long? do you swim because you've worked so hard to get where you are or is it because you love to be part of a team? is it because you love the anxiety before the meet? is it because you dont want to let anyone down or because you dont want to let yourself down? somewhere behind the athlete you've become, the hours of practice the coaches who push you the teammates who believe in you, and the fans who cheer for you, is the little girl who fell on love with swimming and never looked back. Swim for her

My coach came up with a bunch of good ones. :) In life, breathing is necessary. But not for swimmers in the 50 free. Swimming is pain. Practice is a place to work through pain. It's been told that swimming is a wimp sport, but I don't get it. We don't get timeouts, we can't stop to rest in the middle of our event, we don't get substitutions and we can't just quit in the middle. Swimmers do more flips in an hour than cheerleaders do in a lifetime.

"Swimmers are like teabags. You never know how strong they are until you put them in water." "When I'm about to get out of the water, I imagine my opponent swimming one more lap. So I swim one more lap. Then I imagine my opponent getting out and leaving. So I swim one more lap." And one I came up with myself If you don't have the passion, don't do the splashin'.

What Noah said, I think that when I'm really tired at practice.

lol look what I found: "People don't just run because it's fun. Ask any runner, most of them couldn't imagine their life without it. It's part of them. the love/hate relationship. It's what they live for. They live for the practices, parties, cheers, long distance bus rides, state/nationals, countless pairs of different types of shoes, diets, PAIN, SACRIFICES, water, gatorade, and coaches you hate but appreciate. They live for the way it feels when they beat the other teams, and knowing those 2 extra sprints they ran in practice was worth it. they live for the way they become a family with their team. They live for the countless songs they sing in their head while training all those hours. They live for competition, they live for the friends, the practices, the coaches, the memories, the pain -its who they are. It's who we are - we are the runners..." found that on some random website laugh out loud anyways here are some 1) its not about the size of the dog in the fight but the size of the fight in the dog 2) if you train hard youll not only be hard but you will also be hard to beat 3) some people want it to happen, some people wish it would happen, some people make it happen 4) the more you sweat in peace, the less you bleed in war (referring to swim training)
