Why is it so cold when you first get in the pool?

• When its so hot out, I feel like going in the water but everytime I am going in the pool, it is so cold!!! Why is that? I usually try to get in the pool slowly but people say I should just jump in fast and I will get used to it but I like to go in slow. But why is it the pool is so cold anyway when you first get in? And when you get out and get some sun for a while then come back in, the water is so cold again?

  I would say it has to do with your body temperature. The pools temperature at the most might be in the 80's, but your body temperature is 98.6. So anything that is lower than your body temp. that you have to submerge into would seem colder! Hope this helps!
