Which college is easier to get into?

Which sport is easier to get a full ride to a d1 college?

• I'm trying to get a sports scholarship to a d1 college in either basketball, or swimming; Which is easier to pursue in order to achieve that goal? Give me some good colleges for both these sports as well

  None are easy. Coaches normally do not give scholarships to just anyone. If you can compete at the junior nationals in swimming, you MIGHT get a partial ride. IF you are about 6'5" and can double hand slam dunk behind your head AND play defense, you MIGHT get a partial ride in basketball. Swim teams are allowed to give out 8.2 full scholarships. A coach may divide them any way s/he wants. I'm not certain, but I think basketball is allowed around 10 full scholarships ... again a coach may divide them between more players. Your question reveals an incredible level of naivete. You seem to think that you are a scholarship level athlete and you don't even know what top athletes in the sports can do. GET EDUCATED ... do some research on the internet. Have you even made the basketball team at your high school? Go out and actually get GREAT at a sport and THEN ask questions about scholarships. I had a high school swimmer a few years ago and he could go a 49 for a 100 yard butterfly, 1:46 for a 200 yard butterfly, 4:26 in the 500 free and 15:17 in the 1650. Do you even know what those times mean? Well, he was 6th in the US for high school swimmers in the 500 and he didn't get a full scholarship! He was 18th in the 100 fly. He was SIXTH in the 1650 at the US NATIONALS! So, what have you done? What are your times? Your question is ridiculous. OH, and btw ... this is a swimming board. It is unlikely that any of us would have expertise in basketball to know what it takes to get a scholarship.
