Swimming pools in Coimbatore?

Why is it rare to find homes with swimming pools in England?

  • I live in Brazil but I travel constantly to the UK (in fact it's one of my favorite countries), however one difference I've noticed is that I've never found a home with swimming pool in England, while in Brazil the homes in any upper middle class or upper class neighborhood have swimming pools. Why aren't swimming pools common in England as well?

  • Answer:

In England swimming pools ARE popular in the homes of the upper middle classes. But they are indoors so you can't see them. Also why are you going around looking over the Walls of peoples gardens looking for swimming pools? Be careful, I don't know what brazil is like but in England you will be arrested for such things.

Because it's too cold here!! If we do have swimming pools, they tend to be indoor ones. And indoor pools are more common amongst rich people here in the UK.

Weather is too cold.

firstly, the weather in England isn't suited for swimming pools. People do have them, most people don't have built in ones, they have ones that you can set up in summer and then bring down for winter. However, very rich people in England do have built in swimming pools.

our weather is not set so there's no point in having a pool if its going to be cold all year round so we have blow up pools instead

You must have only visited England in the summer because most of the time it is cold and rainy here so we dont have good enough weather for swimming pools. Also its expensive in England it can cost thousands of pounds for a swimming pool which will be a waste of money when we can only use it in the summer months. Most people will go to a public swimming pool or the beach in the summer.

Firstly, you seemed to use 'England' and 'UK' interchangeably. Please don't, they're not the same! I think mainly we have other better things to spend our money on! Seriously though, I think here, we don't have as much of a disposable income as they do in America.
