What are you breastroke times?

What are my 100 times according to these sprints?

  • These are ALL OUT sprints in short course meters for 25m, pushing off the wall: Breastroke: 17.5 sec. Butterfly: 16 sec. Freestyle: 14.5 sec. Of course also considering the additional speed gained off the starting block in a 100. What would those times be about in 100 yd freestyle?

    Here is a very handy tool http://www.swimmingworldmagazine.com/results/conversions.asp. It converts times from various lengths. Alright, if these are all-out sprints, then I would guess the splits for the free would be 14.5,16.0, 17.0,16.5, so a 1:05 assuming you have decent endurance. For the fly, probably 16.0, 18.0, 20.0, 22.0, because fly is tough to keep at a good pace without very high endurance and technique. So a 1:16 I believe. In the breast, maybe 17.5, 19.0, 19.0, 18.5. 1:14 for that. Here are the times in yards Free: 58.24 Fly: 1:08.10 Breast: 1:06.30 Now these may be completely off, but hope it's close.

Well if you multiply your times by four and no you shouldn't. its really not a hundred time if your sprinting 4 separate laps. Just do a hundred and time it all together. Do not subtract block times. A good time for a 4 hundred is about a 1 minute - 1 minute and 20 seconds.

SCM 100 breast : 1:22ish 100 fly : 1:20ish varies depending on your endurance 100 free : 1:05ish Although you can't really tell your 100 time with just your 25 times. Instead of doing extremely inaccurate guessing, why not take a few minutes of your time to actually SWIM them?
