Who's the greatest footballer of all time?

Whos is the greatest male swimmer of all time?

  • Who is the greatest male swimmer of all time? Phelps? Thorpe? Spitz? Hoogenband? I personally believe that in order to be the greatest swimmer you need to be best at freestyle. Phelps is great...excellent...unbelievable at every stroke but that all counts for very little if Thorpe is FASTER than Phelps at the FASTEST STROKE there is. Although Phelps broke the 200m record, he will probably feel little satisfaction due to the fact that Thorpe wasn't racing. My personal opinion would be that if he was..Thorpe would've been victorious..Phelps went fast enough to brake the record Thorpe wouldve lifted and gone even faster,he is the rare type of athlete that "knows how to win"...he wins the races that matter! aka "race of the century" at athens 2004 For me, comparing these 2 swimmers is similar to comparing Mason Dixon and Rocky Balboa. Although Dixon was a much more decorated boxer (34 wins 0 losses), Balboa was the greater fighter because he "knew how to win"..he would always comebak

  • Answer:

Phelps is still AWESOME! He's young, and breaking records. I think if Thorpe had been racing...Phelps would've put game into that race!
