Are there swimming lessons for older people?

Are there any swimming lessons offered to 12 years olds ?

• I am 12 years old and I can swim pretty decently, but recently my dad has decided for me to soon join a swimming lessons. He said that I should look on the internet for any swimming lessons available in our area. When I found a place, I looked at the pictures where they give swimming lessons and I saw that there were mostly toddlers and kids much younger than me. When I asked my friend (who did competitive swimming), she said most people who swim in teams usually started when they were very young. I didn't want to take those swimming lessons because I didn't want to take a class where I was the only 12 year old there. So, in Houston/Pearland Texas, are there any swimming lessons offered to much older kids?
