How do you do a gainer flip on a diving board?

can you have a step by step list on how to do one. i can do a front flip and a back flip, which i know you have to be able to do in order to do a gainer. thanks

A Gainer is a flip where you run forwards, but do a back flip in the air still facing the same way you were running. I feel that this is easier than a front flip, to be honest. Depending on how high your diving board is, it might be a good idea to stand on the edge of the board at first. If you mess up, it will hurt a lot less. The steps: - Run (or stand at the edge of the board) - Get a decent jump on the end. - Immediately bring your knees up and tuck your body until you feel yourself going all the way around in the air. Make sure you flip yourself enough so that you don't land on your back. It hurts, and it hurts bad. Just remember to flip and tuck!
