How to avoid cramps when swimming?

Cramps after swimming?

  • I don't know how to swim very well. But I was at a resort yesterday with a big pool, so most of my time was spent there with my cousins, who know how to swim. They taught me how to swim. I can get from one end to the other, but I take a break cause sometimes I forget to breath. After all the swimming, about 4 hours later. I started getting cramps, in my arms, and legs, even in my stomach. Is this normal, since I pushed my self hard to swim, on my first time? I still have cramps now, and I haven't "swam" since last night.

  • Answer:

hi the reason you have cramps is because you havent swam that hard in a while. what u feel is the lactic acid in ur muscles rebuilding ur torn muscles.
