Is there anywhere in Myrtle Beach to swim with dolphins?

Where can you swim with wild dolphins?

  • So I've always wanted to swim with dolphins, but I recently watched the movie "The Cove" and found out where those dolphins come from, and I was balling in the middle of class when we watched it. Well I don't want to support this, but I still want to swim with dolphins. I go to the beach every year. Pawleys Island! :) And every year there's always dolphins swimming around and being cute, but the closest I've gotten is like 10 ft away. Sometimes they put on a show for us and leap out of the water and flip around, which is AMAZING. But I don't know if they will flip out if I get too close. Also I cant go very far because well not being able to touch the bottom in the waves is a little bit scary especially when you have seen sharks and even worse, jellyfish (yes I'm more afraid of jellies than sharks, I'm weird I know). I've seen on tv people in crystal clear water swim around with them and pet their tummies in the wild, and I really want to do that. Is it safe to touch or swim with wild dolphins? And where would be the best place to go? I live on the east coast (of the US), but this is on my bucket list so I'm willing to go anywhere. If it's not safe do you know of any places where you can swim with them where they are treated like royalty and set free if they get too stressed out?

  • Answer:

Hawaii I'm pretty sure. EDIT: and yes it's very safe, don't worry.
